We are mobile app developers and we found the existing app analytics tools prohibitively expensive for indie developers and small startups. Therefore we created mobile analytics from existing free tools.
Most analytics platform charge fees based on the number of events logged or monthly users tracked (MTU). We wanted to log as many analytic events as needed to understand our users and how they use our apps.
One of the leading analytics platforms quoted us $40,000 to $70,000 per annum. That's for an app that barely breaks even.
To get broad and deep insights, we wanted to work with our raw data. Including back-end data and data from advertising providers. Our dashboard allows us to report on data from any provider or source.
We utilise Firebase, BigQuery and Data Studio which are affordable tools provided by Google.
